Fuel Rail
Custom fuel rails have been used for years to either to upgrade a carbureted car to fuel injection or as an upgrade when you install larger injectors to a fuel injected engine. Our Miatas can benefit with higher capacity rails, when we upgrade to 440cc, 550cc or higher injectors, in our boosted engines.
I decided to make a rail for both my cars, since the going price for 2 rails was $600. Plus I had some ideas to possibly make a better rail design. Other designs feed the fuel on the outside and the FPR (fuel pressure regulator) was placed next to the 4th injector. My thoughts were to 'balance' the fuel feed and relocate the FPR to the middle. A symmetrical design.
I have been working and improving the design for over a year. It has been tested in the real world by unbiased testers. It was shown that by using 4 EGTs in the manifold, that the exhaust temperatures for the cylinders, were more balanced after installing the rail.
The design works. And I had requests to make more rails.
Also you can configure the fuel feed for different configurations. Either dual feed with a accumulator, or a 4 line feed.
I offer a rail for either the 1.6 or 1.8.
